# Long Thanh Imbiss API versioning and deprecation policy

## Current supported version

Version 1 is supported at /api/v1/. No endpoint is currently deprecated, and no sunset date is scheduled. The compatibility text feed /speisekarte.txt remains available. OpenAPI info.version describes compatible releases of the contract independently of the URL major version.

## Compatible changes

Within v1, existing field meanings and types remain stable. Clients should tolerate additional response fields. Breaking changes require a new URL major version, such as /api/v2/.

## Notice before removal

Before withdrawing a supported version, Long Thanh Imbiss will give at least 90 days notice on this page, identify replacement endpoints, and provide migration instructions. Affected responses will include a Deprecation header using an RFC 9745 structured date, a Sunset header using an RFC 8594 HTTP date, and a Link header with rel="deprecation" pointing to the migration guidance.

Current responses link to this policy using rel="deprecation". They omit Deprecation and Sunset dates because there is no active deprecation. Policy links do not themselves mark an endpoint as deprecated.
