The last request demonstrates a real HTTP 404 with application/problem+json, a machine-readable code and a resolution hint. The live versioned API is safe to explore with GET and HEAD; no separate sandbox is necessary for these read-only resources.

Menu languages: de, en, zh and vi. Cache facts for five minutes. Both JSON endpoints share 60 requests per client IP per 60-second window. Read RateLimit and RateLimit-Policy; honor Retry-After on a 429. The existing text feed remains at /speisekarte.txt.

Connect an MCP client

Use https://longthanh-imbiss.com/mcp with Streamable HTTP transport. Available tools: get_menu, get_business_info and search_menu. No credentials are needed. A discovery GET to the transport may return 405; connect with an MCP client that performs the JSON-RPC initialize handshake.

MCP manifest (also server.json) follows the MCP Registry server.json format. The well-known alias is a compatibility discovery URL, not a claim that the server is registered in the official Registry or that this discovery path is an adopted MCP standard. The existing server card remains available.

Use the official MCP TypeScript SDK 1.x. This public information server offers three focused read-only tools: fetch the menu, fetch business information, or search published dishes. There is no account, credential, order submission or payment step. Install the client with npm install @modelcontextprotocol/sdk@^1.30.0, then run this as an ES module:

tools/list is a JSON-RPC method sent to /mcp; it is not a separate HTTP path. Each tool has a self-contained outputSchema with no OpenAPI component references. Fetch results contain a text field; search results contain query, language, total, results, source and limitations. The text content remains available for clients that prefer it. Search uses all words, ignores case and accents, and returns an empty results array for no matches. Vegetarian markings reflect the menu only; they do not establish allergen safety.

The two fetch tools accept an empty arguments object. The focused public-information MCP server also provides search_menu with a required query and optional language (de, en, zh, vi) and limit (1–20, default 10). All three tools are read-only. Each tool declares a self-contained outputSchema; results include structuredContent as well as text. Unknown tools and invalid arguments return JSON-RPC error -32602 with a message and request ID.
